エレクトーンとその音楽

1967年生まれ、東京都出身。10歳からピアノ、11歳から作曲を始める。
感性を養うために世界各国を旅したのち、ピアノおよびエレクトーンの演奏活動を始める。現在は幅広い選曲と軽快なトークをおりまぜたコンサートを中心に活躍中。特にエレクトーンの可能性を極限まで引き出したスタイリッシュでテーマ性の高いオリジナル曲の演奏は人気が高く、幅広い層のファンを持っている。

2001年10月には、IMC（国際音楽評議会）総会の初の日本開催にあたり東京芸術劇場で催された記念演奏会に出演し、世界各国の音楽関係者から高い評価を受けた。
また、たった１台のエレクトーンでフルオーケストラを超えるサウンドを奏でるその高い音楽性は、世界的オペラ演出家ミヒャエル・ハンペ氏に絶賛されるなど、オペラや声楽の伴奏者として他のエレクトーンプレイヤーの追随を許さない独自の地位を築き、クラシックとテクノロジーを融合した新しい試みとして注目を浴びている。

特に近年は、世界的ソプラノ歌手サイ・イエングアン（崔岩光）の共演者として、紀尾井ホールや東京オペラシティコンサートホールをはじめ各地でのコンサートに出演している。またわが国を代表するバリトン歌手直野資をはじめ、中国を代表する二胡奏者・姜建華（ジャン・ジェンホワ）、日米で活躍する兄弟オペラ歌手崔宗順・崔宗宝との共演など、ジャンルや国境を超えた活躍で音楽のフロンティアを拡大している。

さらに、若手音楽家集団サウンドオアシスを主宰し、オペラガラコンサートや本格的オペラ公演「椿姫」を実現するなど、演奏家の枠を超え活躍の場を拡げている。

YUKI KANDA was born in 1967 in Tokyo, Japan. He began studying the piano at the age of 10 and composing at 11. During his childhood his early talent enabled him to perform on stages around the world playing both the piano and electric organ. During his many international concerts, his musical talent expanded tremendously resulting in a rich repertoire. The focus of his current work is recitals and dinner-shows including a variety of musical genre accompanied by fascinating talks. He is particularly renown for tapping the full potential of electric organ with his original works. His works are noted for their artistic beauty and enchanting motifs which have attracted many fans. In October 2001 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space, he performed in the IMC (International Music Conference) concert commemorating the first ever such concert held in Japan. The performance was highly acclaimed by numerous international music critics attending the event. His organ performances explore the ability of one musician to produce sounds rivaling the breadth of a full-orchestra and have astonished international renowned Opera producer Michael Hampe receiving his full praise.

He is among the few artists able to create a harmonious balance in combining classic music with technology and is sought after by Opera and vocal soloists as an electric organ accompanist confirming his unique and unparalleled status. Recent concerts include duets with international soprano Cui Yanguang at locations including Kioi Hall, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. Others include joint concerts with baritone singer Tasuku Naono, Chinese leading Er Fu( a traditional Chinese instrument) player Jiang Jian Hua, Chinese opera singer Cui Zong Shun and Zong Bao.

He presides over the young musician’s group “Sound Oasis,” and has produced Opera Gala Concerts and “La Traviata” in full. He is now widening his artistic appeal not only as a player but as a producer.
